Could it be the class-leading comfort and safety features, high levels of standard equipment or unique exterior and interior designs? Perhaps it’s the choice of practical layouts with plenty of storage space, exceptional build quality and outstanding value retention? In truth it’s all the above and more that make Malibu motorhomes so desirable.

Innovative designs and a choice of layouts

Available in low-profile and premium A-class versions, Malibu motorhomes can be ordered in a variety of layouts which all share many common features. For example, the unique double floor which can be accessed from both inside and outside the vehicle, provides huge storage capability, insulates the cabin in extreme temperatures and delivers an underfloor heating effect. The driver’s cabin, technical components, storage compartment and main cabin door entrance all have targeted heating, while heat circulates through the entire double floor. This ensures a pleasant climate inside the motorhome even when it’s freezing outside. And when it’s hot outside, the Malibu is nice and cool inside because that which insulates and heats in winter provides protection from heat in the summer.

The ‘Compact Class’ of Malibu motorhome consists of one low-profile and two A-class models. A common feature is the length of less than seven metres and the possibility of registration with a gross weight of 3.5 t. This ensures excellent handling characteristics, and a motorhome which can be driven on a class B driver’s licence. Featuring lengthways single beds at the rear with spacious garage below, a well-equipped kitchen, and a vario swivelling or combined bathroom.

‘Comfort Plus’ models are available in three derivatives from 7.2 to 7.5 metres length in both low-profile and A-class versions and offer even more space, comfort and equipment. Up to half a metre longer than the biggest ‘Compact Class’ model, the extra centimetres make a difference when 3.5 t certification is not essential and added comfort is more important. Lengthways single beds or queen-size bed above the large garage at the rear with an easily accessible drop-down over cab bed standard on A-class models (optional on low-profile versions).

An extra low dashboard in Malibu A-class models offers the best view of the road surface ahead which can be viewed after just 2.77 metres. The proven Fiat 40 heavy single axle AL-KO low frame chassis is fitted as standard with: Airbag, ABS, ESP, ASR, electronic immobiliser, hill-holder, Traction Plus, trailer stability control, collision braking system, automatic start/stop, cruise control and side wind assistant.

Premium build quality with German engineering

Malibu motorhomes are built using technology developed in the aircraft industry featuring lightweight materials and advanced production techniques. The elegant bodywork with roof / side wall rounding not only looks good but is rigid and strong thanks to special bonding techniques. It also reduces wind noise, so the vehicle is quieter and more comfortable on the road. High quality furniture construction with double connection technology (units are screwed and mortised for maximum stability and longevity) ensures the interior stays free from squeaks and rattles. The attention to detail and extra care taken to build each Malibu motorhome can be felt on every journey.

Comfortable, stylish and uniquely Malibu

Elegant exterior designs that are easily recognisable and stylish interiors which offer an extraordinary feeling of spaciousness thanks to clever storage solutions. The roomy living area for example features a neat shoe cabinet under the main bench seat. Stunning kitchens with “Modernline” furniture design featuring curved storage cabinets and high-quality roller-mounted drawers with self and soft closing mechanisms.

The ‘Combined bathroom’ can be converted to a private changing room separate from the living area in seconds by closing the solid bathroom door. The bathroom features a fully separable round shower with wrap-around doors, curved wash basin with mirror storage cabinet above and storage unit below as well as a swivelling toilet. The ‘Comfort luxury bathroom’ with integrated changing room offers even more space and includes a large shower room opposite the toilet and wash basin with solid wooden sliding door which separates the changing area from the sleeping area.

Whichever sleeping layout you choose there’s plenty of storage space for all your holiday clothes with stylish overhead lockers above and deep hanging wardrobes below the lengthways single beds. The queen-sized bed on 500 QB models has large drawers underneath the mattress and a variable pull-out TV wall and room divider offers flexible positioning of the TV for those who like to watch it in bed.
